RE: Overhead scanners

This is the only time I've ever said anything on Exlibris, but I used an
overhead copier at the Wisconsin State Historical Library for a paper when I
was an undergrad. It was lovely, did a great job, and had a coin box. I
doubt this will be very useful, but if you want a testimonial, you've got
one.

Subject: Overhead scanners

I am interested in what Exlibris members think about overhead scanners.
What models are people using, or avoiding? Are they worth the big
investment? Is anyone using such a scanner in a public area attached to a
coin box? If so, do the patrons understand how to use it? Has anyone been
able to work the cost of this equipment into a grant funded scanning
project?

If you reply to me privately, I'll summarize the comments for the list.
