William Morris Society event in Washington, DC



The William Morris Society is pleased to announce the following event, timed 
to coordinate with the Modern Language Association annual convention in 
Washington, DC:

"Her Face is Made Her Shrine": Portraits of Jane Morris by Dante Gabriel 
Rossetti

A distinguished art historian, Debra N. Mancoff has written extensively on 
Victorian art and culture. Her books include "Burne-Jones," "David Roberts: 
Travels in Egypt and the Holy Land," "Mary Cassatt: Reflections of Women's 
Lives," and "The Return of King Arthur: The Legend Through Victorian Eyes." 
This special slide talk on Jane Morris and Rossetti's art is derived from her 
just-published "Jane Morris: The Pre-Raphaelite Model of Beauty."
