HarperCollins Publishers is the successor company to the original Harper &
Brothers. You might try contacting them through their web site address
www.harpercollins.com for Harper & Brothers archive information.

Subject: Harper & Bros. Archives -- where are they?
Hello -- I am looking for the archives for the publishing company that was
known
in 1904 as Harper & Bros. I need to get some information concerning a
lawsuit brought against that company in 1904. There is no guarantee that
this lawsuit ever actually went into the courtroom, though. I did a Lexis
search,
but found nothing on the case. Would this be the same company as the
present day
Harper publishing company? Would my best bet be to contact the Harper
company?
Thanks for any input.
