Fine Books in all fields, including a fine collection of John Steinbeck,
plus manuscript material, highlighted by:

* The Original Water Color Drawing for the Dust Jacket of The Grapes of
Wrath by Elmer Stanley Hader, one of the most enduring American literary
images of the twentieth century, a beautiful painting in fine condition.

* A fine copy of The Grapes of Wrath first edition, in dust jacket, plus
To A God Unknown, Of Mice and Men, The Long Valley, the signed/limited
East of Eden, and others.  Plus Advance proofs of The Pearl, the
Forgotten Village, and The Moon is Down; and autographed letter to his
son accompanied by a typed letter to his sons, and other
Steinbeck-related material.
* Autograph Album gathered by James Hudson, Librarian at the Royal
Society, with signatures and letters of Sir Joseph Banks, Alexander von
Humboldt, Sir John Franklin, the Duke of Wellington, Robert Southey, and
others.
*  Archive of over 30 letters from a Union officer to his wife, from
Vicksburg, various locations in Tennessee, etc., giving a splendid view
of camp life, occasional battles, etc., during the American Civil War.
* Robinson Jeffers's Granite and Cypress, finely printed by William
Everson in an edition of 100 copies, with slipcase sculpted from
Monterey Cypress wood with a window of granite from Jeffers's stoneyard.

* Set of 12 portfolios with about 50 pop-up architectural plans of
Japanese Tea Houses (Okoshiezushu Chaya), each portfolio silk over
boards with bone clasps. Limited to 500 copies, quite rare as a complete
set.
*  Plus other rare and interesting items.
