A few years ago at UCLA, we wanted to order some locked booktrucks
for a few new copy catalogers for Special Collections. In trying to
find ones that matched those we already had, we were quite disappointed
not to find them made anymore. So, instead, we looked all over our
supply catalogs and found the best bets under "A-V carts". The one we
finally settled on (and with which we are pleased) is called the Tuffy
Mobile Cabinet Cart. It is made out of a very tough plastic material
and comes in a variety of colors. It is also "configurable"--you can
have cabinets or not, wheels or not, electrified or not (not pertinent
for our purposes, of course), a few different heights and, of course,
that choice of colors. We have found this listed in various catalogs,
but the one I'm looking at right now is the DEMCO catalog. (There are
other brands of A-V carts in that same area, which also might suit your
needs.)
