Re: Albert Parsons Sachs



Are you interested in the manuscripts as well as
printed books from the Sachs collection? His MS 6
became No. 12 in the Rosenwald bequest to the National
Gallery of Art (Washington, DC), where it now bears
the accession number B-13,519 (see C. Nordenfalk,
Medieval & Renaissance Miniatures from the National
Gallery of Art (Wash. DC, 1975), nr. 47) (this from
the Faye/Bond "Supplement" to the de Ricci "Census",
p. 128). The Nordenfalk catalogue refers to the
manuscript having passed from Sachs to Rosenthal, so
perhaps that's a lead that can help track others.
