ASSOCIATE LIBRARIAN (HEAD OF PUBLIC SERVICES) - P10Oct - 052262 -
Perkins School of Theology/Bridwell Library - (Salary commensurate with
experience) - Bridwell Library seeks a creative and energetic person to
serve as Associate Librarian and Head of Public Services. Primary
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: oversight of all
public service areas, including Circulation, Reference, and Interlibrary
Loan. This position also works as a key member of the library's
collection development team and its Policy and Planning Group.
Candidates must demonstrate strong oral communication and writing skills
with a minimum of three years management experience, preferably in a
library. An M.L.S. or its equivalent is desirable and an advanced
degree in a field related to Bridwell's collections (religious studies,
history, etc.) is preferred. Some experience with public relations,
collection development, OCLC, and HTML and/or web page design

LIBRARIAN III (CURATOR OF SPECIAL COLLECTIONS) - P11Oct - 051149 - Bridwell
Library - (Salary commensurate with experience) - Bridwell Library seeks a
Curator of Special Collections to oversee and manage a large and diverse
collection of rare books and manuscripts. Candidates must have an advanced
degree in a subject specialty reflected in Bridwell's collections with a
minimum of three years experience working with rare books and special
collections, preferably in an academic or research library; knowledge of one
or two pertinent languages for the collections; thorough understanding of
the history of books and printing; strong writing skills; demonstrated
ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patrons, and
benefactors; and a commitment to rare book librarianship as a career.
Preferred qualifications: library degree or its equivalent; some rare book
cataloging experience; reading knowledge of Latin; some experience in
planning and mounting exhibitions; familiarity with digitization and

LIBRARIAN II (REFERENCE LIBRARIAN) - P9Oct - 050424 - Perkins School of
Theology/Bridwell Library - (Salary commensurate with experience) - Bridwell
Library seeks a pro-active, flexible, and innovative individual to serve a
leading role in patron-centered public services. Primary responsibilities
include: reference services, research assistance and instruction for patrons
and visitors; preparation of documentation and aids to the use of the
library's collections; participation on Bridwell Library's web team; and
selection of reference materials for collections. Also acts as an advocate
for patrons regarding reference, instruction, and research support.
Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS or equivalent academic preparation.
Advanced degree in religious studies, theology, history, or applicable
field. Experience in public services in an academic library preferred.
Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills. Strong oral and written
communication skills. Knowledge of theological reference tools in print and
electronic formats preferred. Computer skills, including proficiency in
HTML helpful. Ability to work both independently and as a team member. See
