Declaration of Independence Facsimile

I am posting this at the request of William Lang, who is having trouble
getting his Exlibris mail. DO NOT RESPOND TO THE LIST; MAKE SURE ANY REPLY
GOES TO HIM. --ECW

******************
Can anyone on the list shed light on a printed facsimile of the American
Declaration of Independence, translated into German, possibly c. 1825? The
entire text is given in German, with the signatures given in facsimile as in
the English-language facsimiles published after 1818. The heading is
"Erlarung Amerikanischer Unabhangigkeit...". There is a printed notice at
the foot of the broadside, in German, that the facsimile may be purchased
from Thomas Morrison, 175 Pein Strasse, "Illuminirt, ladirt, und mit
Rollen..." for "Ein Thaler." This copy has rollers, varnish, and coloring
of the architectural borders. There is a boxed notice, in English, "C.A.
Elliot, printer, Southwest corner 3rd and Chesnut." This facsimile does not
appear in Bidwell's 1988 list; no auction records have turned up in ABPC,
Sotheby's, et al. I would be grateful if anyone with holdings of, or
information on, this object would contact me off-list.
