Rare Book School is pleased to announce that the schedule of its May/June
2002 courses is now available on our Web site at
The May/June lineup includes new courses taught by D. W. Krummel (American
Music on Paper); Archie Provan (Introduction to the History of Typography);
Simon Eliot (Printing, Publishing, and Consuming Texts in Britain and Its
Empire, 1770 - 1919); and the return (after an absence of several years) of
the Morris Cohen / David Warrington course, Collecting the History of
Anglo-American Law.
The schedule of RBS courses offered in the first and second summer 2002
sessions (8-12 and 15-19 July; 29 July - 2 August and 5-9 August) will be
up in the next couple of weeks; stay tuned. New summer session faculty
members include John Buchtel, Mark Dimunation, Jan Storm van Leeuwen, and
Barbara Shailor.
Nicholas Pickwoad's January 2002 course, European Bookbinding 1500-1900, is
sold out; there are four places still available in Terry Belanger's January
course, Book Illustration Processes to 1890.
Admit letters for the courses offered in the RBS March 2002 session will go
out the second week in December.
