I have a book with an anonymous bookplate: the main image is of a snake eating its tail with the motto below it: "Cherchez et vous trouverez." In red ink, someone has penned in the owner's initials: P. d'A. and the year 1929. The book itself is Colonna's Abrege de la doctrine de Paracelse (Paris, 1724).
Does anyone out there know the owners of this bookplate? I've checked our meager resources in this area and find nothing ...
Many thanks,
Michael
