Anyone near Philadelphia with a free Saturday this weekend might want to
stop in at the Philadelphia Book Fair, being held Saturday, May 18th, from
10am to 5pm at the Expo Center in Fort Washington, PA, just a little north
of Philly. For full details you can call the promoter, T. J. McCauley, at
215-757-1132.
This is the first time I've done the show in about two years, so I don't
know what to expect, but Lord only knows what one might find. I remember
once finding (but alas, not buying) one of Adam Smith's own copies of the
first edition of "The Wealth of Nations" at a little book fair in New
Hampshire. The lesson I took away from that is that anything can show up
anywhere at any time.
Hope to see you there,
Greg Powers
