Desired qualifications include: a Ph.D. in a theological or related subject
area, an M.Div. degree, an M.L.S. degree, membership in the Presbyterian
Church (USA), familiarity with rare book and manuscript collections,
budgeting and management skills, the physical ability to move standard
archival boxes, a publishing record, participation in scholarly societies,
and experience writing grant proposals. Above all, the candidate must have
a commitment to promote the history and mission of Princeton Theological
Seminary to various constituencies.
