Members and non-members are welcome at the Society's meetings. Admission is
free.
Founded in 1963 to bring together admirers of the work of Francis Thompson,
the Eighteen Nineties Society widened its scope in 1972 to embrace the entire
artistic and literary scene of the most vibrant decade of Impressionism,
Realism, Decadence, Symbolism, Naturalism, and of achievement in the arts,
including theater and book production.
The Society holds regular meetings, organizes exhibitions, and issues
publications--an annual Journal, the quarterly Keynotes newsletter, and books
and pamphlets.
Membership is open to all worldwide who share the Society's interests.
