An unforeseen 5th volume has appeared

May we intrude and ask you to be so kind and check if we ever supplied
the 4 volumes of the following work. Or perhaps pass this message to
your philosophy department if this exists at your end.

Initially 4 volumes were planned and we supplied all of these to our
library clients and then filed all orders.

We have now received a fifth volume which was not planned initially, but
we no longer have the records of those who received the volumes 1 - 4.

If required please confirm your order for this 5th volume.

Thank you.

LAZARI, A. DE (Ed.). Ideas in Russia. 1999-2003 This lexicons first 4
volumes contain approximately 700 articles. It aims to supplement
existing encyclopaedias and dictionaries giving freshly considered
information on the broad concepts of Russian theological, philosophical,
social and political thought from the Middle Ages to the present.
Another objective is to deepen understanding concerning Russian
mentality and culture, the fulfilling of the gap which has arisen on the
one hand due to the years of Soviet rule, and on the other the limited,
or rather selective interest on the part of the West in Russian culture,
as well as the tendency to employ ready-made formulations and schemes.
The plural ideas used in the title expresses the planned openness of the
lexicon to the whole diversity of the Russian tradition of thought,
noticeably richer than the current stereotype, in terms which sees a
single Russian idea. The term in Russia refers to a cultural rather than
a political-territorial concept; it concerns ideas which arose not only
in the culture of Rus or Russia but also developed in the minds of
Russians when they were formulated in areas not belonging to Russia or
through emigration. The lexicon is trilingual, containing a Russian,
Polish and English version of the article, and arranged on the basis of
the Russian alphabet.
