I'm still pursuing my first exlibris query from 12 May 2004:
(http://www.tinyurl.com/3yg27); however, I need some assistance from
the list in order to continue my research.
I need to find out what James Trenchard's Shakespeare portrait looks
like. The portrait is contained in the August 1787 issue of the
Columbian Magazine.
This issue is included in American Periodical Series 1, which
University Microfilms produced for the use of university libraries. As
a collector, I can't get access to APS1.
I need someone to verify if the Shakespeare portrait, included in
Seddon's Boydell advertisement in the August 1787 issue of Columbian
Magazine, is identical to the photo of Kent & Scheemakers Shakespeare
Monument at Westminster: http://www.tinyurl.com/2fyte
Moreover, if someone can contact me offlist, as to how I can obtain
either an online photo or jpg of the Columbian Magazine Shakespeare
portrait, I'd be a much happier man!
Thanks,
Jerry Morris
