[EXLIBRIS:29477] Monumenta Germaniae Historica online

[ This information as a favor to Gabriel Austin, - hoping that it compensates a little bit all the favors he's doing to me with his efforts to teach me good English .... ;) ]

The monumental collection of the texts of Monumenta Germaniae Historica is now going to be also available in the net: http://www.dmgh.de/

The project started at July 1, 2004 and is scheduled to finish in 2010. By now, there is already an interim version with mostly digitized pages which will be converted by and by into full texts of the editions together with prefaces, annotations and indexes. The first segment will be the Diplomata, Epistolae and Antiquitates series to be converted during 2004 to 2006, the Scriptores in Folio and the Leges will follow in 2006 to 2008, and the rest of the Antiquitates and Scriptores series will conclude the project in 2008 to 2010.

Another one of those famous attempts of the Bavarian State Library to make the net more clever ...
