Those irritated by Everett's "sort of announcement" should go soak their
heads to clear out the spiderwebs. But are there such on our high level
intelligence [HLI] website? [HLI - I just made that up].

Subject: [EXLIBRIS:30272] MODERATOR--Virus warning (Earthlink, etc.)
Exlibris has a sizeable number of subscribers who use Earthlink and its
permutations (e.g., Netcom, etc.). Recently messages have been sent to
some
subscribers stating that accounts have been suspended, etc., and
requesting
that a link be followed to resolve the problem. These messages,
although
supposedly from Earthlink, are bogus and contain a virus in the
attachment.
Don't respond to them in any way. Earthlink will never contact you with
an
attachment to a message, and they also have a service on their web site
that
will confirm the legitimacy of any URL you are sent that is supposedly
from
them.
Again, I repeat my request that Exlibris subscribers not keep the list
posting address in their address books.
To those whom this sort of announcement irritates, my apologies.
Best,
ECW
