Plus. Safes are dangerous for paper. The paper can quickly dry out.

Actually, probably not. There is never enough room in a safe for all
the things you might want to put there. A mist-type sprinkler system is
a
better solution. Of course, in the real world, not all libraries have
the budget for either or both of those solutions.
