For this kind of broken link, there is a very simple remedy. Click on the
highlighted part and open your web browser, then copy and paste the
unhighlighted part into the web browser's address bar AT THE END of the URL
and press "Enter." Works like a charm.
I realize that if we eliminate the "I can't open this link" messages, as
well as the "Sorry for posting this private message to the entire list"
messages, we might cut the traffic on this list by half. But perhaps that's
not entirely a bad thing.
