Re: Best Memoirs of Book Collectors/Dealers?

I would also add to the rapidly growing list the various works of Lawrence Clark Powell, formerly librarian at UCLA. Not a dealer, certainly a collector, both for himself and for the institution (back in the days of summer-long European book-hunting jaunts, full of dusty basements full of rare pamphlets and five martini lunches)- he wrote several books full of charming essays on bookish subjects, and his love of books comes through in each one. "Bookman's Progress" is a volume of selected writings and a good place to start, but almost any of his books you could find would be nice.
