I am posting this on behalf of a researcher. Please reply to me in
the first instance.
A researcher is trying to trace an annotated copy of the 1587 2nd
edition of Holinshed's Chronicles. This is what he says:
"[the copy] had many annotations in it and was reported on by
Countess Clara L. de Chambrun (Shakespeare rediscovered by means of
public records, secret reports and private correspondence, NY, 1938).
Unfortunately she inadequately identified the specific owner(s) and
catalog information about the copy. She only described it as "the
Jaggard copy" referring to a 19th century Capt. W. Jaggard, not the
printed of Shakespeare's F1."
If anyone has any clues as to the current whereabouts of this volume
I would be most grateful to hear from them.
many thanks
Susan
