Re: [EXLIBRIS-L] Collectors' guide to historic cookery books?

Hi Jane, My friend (well I interviewed her for an article for my website so...), Marguerite Patton wrote one. It's somewhat simplistic/basic, but. It's called "Books for Cooks: A Bibliography of Cookery" and was published by Bowker in 1975.

I hope other suggestions will come in to the list, because I'd also be interested in a few more.

cheers

Greetings all.

On the basis that librarians know everything, a friend has asked me, "do
you know of a decent collectors' guide to English cookery books? There
are plenty for American cookery books, and I found the Prospect one, but
it's not quite what I'm after."

I come to the conclusion that I don't know this particular aspect of
everything - but if somebody else on the list does, I shall be very glad
to hear from you.

As ever,

Jane
