If we are altering books into something else, that defeats the
purpose. Since anyone wishing to alter books is not evidentally a
squeamish individual, I suggest rebinding them with properly-prepared
and cured human skins. Each book thus altered will become a
collectible book instead of a curiosity derived from a former book.
Above are only a few of the websites that offer uses for discarded
hardback books. Public Libraries have friends groups that take books
they can not even give away and sell them as shaped books for journals
or artist use them as a canvas for altered book art. There are ways to
recycle books but alas there are still many that must be sent to the
landfill. Most of us who love books find this fact of life hard to deal
with but it is a fact of life-you can not save everything or every book!

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.
Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.
