So far as I know, HPK handled only one B42 in his lifetime.

There is a lovely story of his negotiations with the Bibliotheque Nationale
to for him to acquire the duplicate 1457 [or 1459] Psalter by exchange for a
spectacular French illuminated manuscript. With this, HPK was able to
produce his Gutenberg catalogue, with a B42 and the two Psalters and other
Gutenbergiana.

Wasn't this one of three B42s Kraus had some

participation in buying and selling? By the way, what

do you think was the value of the free publicity Kraus

received from the Houghton B42 all the years he had it

in stock?
