Rare Book Publicity in Pennsylvania

Colleagues,

In case you haven't anything better to do on this Friday, and you have
roughly a half hour to kill, you might be interested in seeing a recent
cable-tv show from the office of one of our state senators here in
Pennsylvania, Sen. Jeffrey E. Piccola.

The senator came over to the State Library with a camera crew and shot a
'message to constituents' about our current rare books room and the
eventual move to our new spaces. He speaks on camera with our state
librarian, and then I show him some of the books in our collection. I
believe that the footage of our architect showing him the
newly-renovated areas hits the senator's web site next month.

No doubt, some of you will be able to trip me up on bibliographic fine
points that I either skip over or get plain wrong, but that's one of the
ways I learn things.

Anyway, the link to the senator's web site is http://www.piccola.org/
(then look for mention of the cable show over on the right)

or the direct link to the video is

Enjoy!
