I would be grateful to anyone who could direct me to information
regarding the library of the Piarist monastery/school in Lipnik (or
Leipnik), Czech Republic. I am already aware that the order left
Leipnik in 1884, at which time the remains of the library were given
to the city and have since passed into the regional archives
(information obtained from http://www.b2i.de/fabian?Prerov).
I am particularly interested in knowing about items from the
collection which did not go to the regional archives (which now hold
less than half the books catalogued in 1830) and how they might have
been dispersed. If you have a book with this provenance it would be
helpful to me to learn about it.
I would also be eager to hear from anyone with access to any of the
catalogues, early or late, that were made of this collection.
