Sender: Rare book and manuscripts <EXLIBRIS-L@LISTSERV.INDIANA.EDU>
Dear Exlibrans -
I'm in the process of cataloguing a collection of bookplates and other
engravings, mostly Dutch and from the mid-twentieth century.
Unfortunately, no one here seems to know how or where we acquired said
collection. The only piece of information I have is an ink stamp on the
back of the archival folders in which the bookplates live. The ink stamp
reads:
Kantoorboekhandel
Van Der Woude
Lijnmarkt 26
Utrecht - Tel. 13050
I'm wondering if anyone has any idea as to whether or not this bookshop
is still around, or any other info about it. ILAB didn't seem to yield
anything, but if it was a small, unaffiliated shop that would be
expected. Any hints, helps or other insights into tracking down some
provenance on these items would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Teri Osborn
