We have volume 1 only, and the catalog record says "No more published." The translator may have simply run out of gas (or the publisher ran out of funds) after volume 1.
Does anyone have a four-volume English edition of Balthasar Bekker's The World Bewitched (De Betoverde Wereeld)? If not, does anyone know why volumes 2, 3, and 4 of this controversial work did not follow the 1695 English translation of volume 1 (translated from the French, which was translated from the original Dutch), printed by R. Baldwin (Richard Baldwin)? (Volumes 2 and 4 are much more interesting.)
Thanks for your replies.
