Less than two years after Howard Paper Mills was sold to an investor group and began to focus m recycled paper, it may have been purchased by Fox River Paper Company, which has signed a letter of intent to purchase it for an undisclosed amount. Both companies make high quality recycled papers, and they have two paper mills each but m pulp mills. One of Fox River's mills is the Rising Paper Co., in Housatonic, Massachusetts.
Five small specialty mills formerly part of James River have spun off together and taken the name of "Custom Papers Group, Inc." to reflect the fact that they made all their paper and board to order, the way you like it. They are:
