The Guild of Book Workers is a national organization of bookbinders, book artists, calligraphers, paper makers, printers and marblers. The Guild sponsors a yearly conference on standards of excellence in bookbinding and traveling exhibitions of member's works. The Guild publishes a newsletter, a journal and maintains lists of suppliers and study opportunities.
The New England Chapter follows the purpose of the Guild of Book Workers on a regional level. We sponsor presentations and workshops throughout the year on various aspects of bookbinding and related arts of the book. The chapter organizes occasional exhibitions of memberís works and publishes a quarterly newsletter to inform members of events of interest in the New England region.
