Chinese wax
A white or yellowish crystalline WAX , formed on the
branches of the ash tree (Fraxinus chinensis) from
the secretion of the coccus insect (Coccus
ceriferus). It resembles SPERMACETI WAX , but
is harder, more friable and has a higher melting
point (80 to 83° C.). It is used in polishing
leather, sizing paper, etc. (291 )
