lens tissue
A thin paper made from long-fibered stock which
contains no unbleached or mechanical wood pulps.
The paper is usually soft and is free from
abrasiveness, lint, or dusting. It is not
calendered and is generally made in basis weights
of 5 1/2, 8 1/2. and 16 pounds (24 X
36—500). Some lens tissues contain silicone,
while others receive some form of wet strength
treatment. The tissue is used in lamination and
paper repair. (17 )
